Error submiting the form to create a new event

What's the bug?

I just downloaded the main branch and tried to create an event, but I got an 400 error.

Probably here is the error: the company came with data, and the form raised an error. And the error is testing the appointment page, while the dashboard is open.

Steps to reproduce

1. Download the main branch
2. Create an event in the dashboard
3. Click Booking link of the event
4. The book form open in a new tab
5. Try to create an event

Hi, I am neither the author nor a maintainer of this project, however I encountered the same issue a couple of weeks ago.

After looking around the source code, I found what you are pointing out in your screenshot of the code. A honeypot field not visible to humans (named 'company' if i remember correctly), meant to trick bots into filling it out, thus exposing themselves (humans can't possibly fill it out if they don't see it). So this seems like a clever trick which produces a generic error.

Filling out the form automatically using google's autofill was what caused the error for me, whereas manually filling the visible fields did not trigger the honeypot. So my guess is that google's autofill sees the invisible to you and me field and fills it out, resulting in calnode thinking you are a bot,

What worked for me was obviously not using google's autofill, but that is not a long-term solution, and one cannot expect their users to not use it either. So I ended up renaming the hidden field into 'url'. Something tempting for bots but not something google might know how to fill (certainly less likely than 'company').
