FlutterFlow Desktop repeatedly crashes within approximately five minutes of opening a project #7455

Description

@zahamix

Can we access your project?

  • I give permission for members of the FlutterFlow team to access and test my project for the sole purpose of investigating this issue.

Current Behavior

FlutterFlow Desktop closes unexpectedly within approximately five minutes after I open a project. There is no useful warning or error message before the application closes, and I am unable to work on the project reliably.

The problem is repeatable across multiple launches. Windows Event Viewer records the closures as APPCRASH events for flutterflow.exe version 7.0.70.0, rather than normal application exits.

  • Windows recorded repeated APPCRASH events for flutterflow.exe.
  • Recorded exception codes include 0xc0000005, 0xc0000374, and 0xe06d7363.
  • Faulting modules recorded include flutterflow.exe, ntdll.dll, and KERNELBASE.dll.
  • Example Windows report IDs: 3e8de75a-146c-4419-93fb-032d7c22abb6 and 1238a327-9792-49d0-b936-0b5e035ba9e9.

Expected Behavior

FlutterFlow Desktop should remain open and allow me to edit the project without closing unexpectedly.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch FlutterFlow Desktop on Windows.
  2. Sign in to FlutterFlow.
  3. Open the affected project from the project list.
  4. Wait for the project editor to finish loading.
  5. Begin working in the editor or leave the project open.
  6. After approximately five minutes, FlutterFlow Desktop closes unexpectedly without a useful error message.
  7. Relaunch FlutterFlow and repeat the steps; the crash occurs again and prevents continued work.

Reproducible from Blank

  • The steps to reproduce above start from a blank project.
