ClaimGuard is an evidence-linked shipment exception agent for small online sellers. It turns carrier notices, order facts, and customer reports into a traceable claim packet, then stops at a human review gate before any message, refund, payment, or filing can occur.
This is an entry candidate for the AWS Agents for Humans hackathon. It uses the AWS Strands Agents SDK with local Ollama inference, so the demo runs without paid APIs or cloud credentials. All included names, orders, carriers, and events are synthetic.
- Normalizes a shipment exception and links facts to source IDs.
- Computes the claim deadline deterministically.
- Checks required evidence coverage.
- Uses a Strands agent to explain evidence and stage the next action.
- Preserves explicit human gates for messages, claims, refunds, and payments.
Prerequisites: Python 3.10+, Node 22+, and Ollama.

The demo never contacts a carrier, sends a customer message, files a claim, or triggers a refund or payment. It only stages a packet for review.
