Open Markdown companion resources for data center engineering practice, maintained alongside DataCenterGuidelines.com.
DataCenterGuidelines.com is the canonical published engineering knowledge base. This repository is the open Markdown companion layer: guides, specification companions, control-sequence companions, point lists, commissioning resources, functional testing resources, and working or experimental notes. It is not a software product.
Where a resource exists on both the website and in this repository, the web resource is authoritative. This repository follows the same engineering taxonomy as the website and does not define a second competing information architecture.
Content remains vendor-neutral.

These notes are not a standard, a certified design document, a code requirement or a vendor-specific recommendation. They do not replace IEC, ASHRAE, IEEE, Uptime Institute or other authoritative sources.
For safety-critical and mission-critical systems, project-specific validation by a qualified engineer of record is required. Adapt every companion document to the adopted codes, the owner’s availability objectives and the as-designed controls architecture.
