👨‍💻 I'm interested in various aspects of structured document preparation including style sheets and templates as well as reference management.

⏳ Currently I’m working on some new BibTeX bibliography style files for the Council of Science Editors (CSE) and Chicago citation styles. I'm developing these with a view to modernising the standard .bst format (by making provision for including DOIs/URLs and making it easier to cite online/news articles, web pages and edited/translated books) while retaining all of BibTeX's traditional database features.

🛠️ I aim to demonstrate that most of the basic (and not-so-basic) requirements of these citation styles can be achieved using BibTeX with minimal difficulty for the end user while their database can remain compatible with any other bibliography styles they are accustomed to using.
