Description
Closing/quitting Fladder on Linux + NVIDIA + Wayland frequently crashes the app with SIGABRT instead of exiting cleanly:
Gdk-WARNING: eglMakeCurrent failed
fladder: ../src/dispatch_common.c:872: epoxy_get_proc_address: Assertion `0 && "Couldn't find current GLX or EGL context."' failed.
eglMakeCurrent fails during shutdown (no current GL context anymore), and when epoxy then tries to resolve a GL function pointer it hits its internal assertion and aborts. The window is already closed when this happens, so it's cosmetic in the moment — but it pollutes coredump/journal logs, can leave the Flatpak scope torn down uncleanly, and points to a real GL-context lifetime problem in the desktop build.
This is long-standing and frequent: the local coredump journal shows 16 SIGABRT crashes of /app/bin/fladder between Sep 3 and Sep 22 (plus 2 SIGSEGV), all with the same eglMakeCurrent failed + epoxy assertion signature where journal output was captured.
Not related to Ambient blur — it reproduces with that setting disabled. Likely the same class of NVIDIA/Wayland EGL-context-loss issue as the artifacts discussed in flutter/flutter#179322 and in #1148, but surfacing at context teardown instead of during texture upload.
Suggestion: guard the shutdown path so GL calls are skipped once the context is gone (or make the epoxy lookup failure non-fatal), and ensure the EGL context is released before GTK/Gdk drops the window.
Reproduction steps
1. Start Fladder (Flathub Flatpak) on GNOME Wayland with NVIDIA proprietary drivers
2. Optionally play a video (hardware acceleration on)
3. Close the window / quit the app
4. Observe SIGABRT in journal / coredumpctl instead of a clean exit
(intermittent — historically many quits are clean, ~16 aborted since Sep 3)
