Mautic 7.2.0 error

I tried the plugin with new Mautic 7.2.0 Lynx Edition.

And I got this:

Mautic 7.2 was released yesterday, and we haven't yet tested whether this plugin is compatible with Mautic 7.2.

It appears that there are breaking changes in Mautic 7.2 or a bug. This shouldn't have happened in a major release. Hopefully, we'll know more about it soon.

We recommend to use the latest Mautic 7.1.x version.

I dug into this and can confirm the root cause.

What changed in Mautic 7.2.0

Mautic 7.2.0 refactored CoreBundle's service definitions away from directory-based autodiscovery + convention-based legacy aliasing, to explicit services.php entries (part of a July 2026 DI cleanup effort, see mautic/mautic#16841).

EncryptionHelper is now registered like this in app/bundles/CoreBundle/Config/services.php:

Unlike neighboring helpers (CookieHelper, FileUploader, etc.), no ->alias('mautic.helper.encryption', ...) line was added for it. In 7.1 and earlier, that legacy string id existed via bundle-wide autodiscovery. 7.2 dropped it — looks like an oversight in the migration rather than an intentional BC break, since sibling helpers did get aliases.

Fix for this plugin

Config/config.php hardcodes the string "mautic.helper.encryption" as a constructor argument (lines 32 and 53) for the Hcaptcha/Recaptcha/Turnstile integrations, which is why the container fails to compile.

The class-based service id Mautic\CoreBundle\Helper\EncryptionHelper::class has been valid since at least Mautic 5.x (autodiscovery always registers classes under their FQCN in addition to any legacy alias), so swapping the string id for the FQCN fixes 7.2+ without breaking 5.x/6.x/7.1:
