🪄 Hi, I'm V SS Karthik

I build things that shouldn't work, then I make them fast. B.Tech CS (AI/ML) student who lives in the "how does this actually work?" phase of development — from write-ahead logs and skip lists to making models explain their own failures.

🛠️ What's in the Cauldron?

Systems

  • 🗄️ CDSA — A data structures library in C (Vector, HashMap, SkipList, ART, RingBuffer, and more), built as the foundation the rest of my systems work sits on.
  • 🐍 kedis-python — A Redis-inspired store in Python: custom binary wire protocol (KESP), asyncio networking, master-replica replication, and optimistic-locking transactions (WATCH/UNWATCH).
  • 🏥 Anchor-Med — An offline-first medical inventory system powered by a custom Python B-Tree engine with WAL-based crash recovery, and an Electron/React frontend.

ML / Interpretability

  • 🔍 GlassBox-ML — An educational, NumPy-only ML library that exposes why a model behaves the way it does: loss history, gradients, assumption checks, failure modes, generalization estimates. Published on PyPI as glassboxml; basis of a paper in progress for Scientific Reports.
  • 🧠 GlassBoxDL — A model-agnostic deep learning interpretability library extending GlassBox-ML's philosophy to neural nets (saliency maps, Grad-CAM, activation probing).
