JOSA OpenLab is a program that gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience
by contributing to real open-source projects. It helps participants learn through hands-on tasks, mentorship, teamwork,
and communication with open-source communities.
In OpenLab, I work on open-source projects and follow the full contribution process. I choose tasks from the project, study the existing code or documentation, make the required changes, and test my work before submitting a pull request. I also communicate with maintainers, receive feedback, and make changes based on their suggestions.
Through this experience, I am learning how real open-source projects work, how to collaborate with maintainers, and how to solve problems that come up during the contribution process. It is also helping me become more comfortable with Git, GitHub, documentation, and professional software development workflows.
