I'm Lawrence Obare, a software developer apprentice at Zone01 Kisumu.

I spend most of my time learning by building: writing Go programs, designing APIs, working with PostgreSQL, using Git and Docker, and gradually moving deeper into frontend development.

I'm especially interested in the part of software that hides behind abstractions. It helps me understand how we express ourselves to machines through code.

A community development platform that lets small communities in Africa take charge of their own well-being, sanitation, and development by contributing to projects that impact them. From cleaning streets to clearing bushes, and even building community spaces, communities can raise Bitcoin to pay incentives to the volunteers helping build the community.

A project I built to help small businesses like shops or restaurants analyze customer behavior and gain long-term insights. It prevents them from overpreparing or underpreparing, which causes them to face losses. This is very personal to me because I built it for my mother's restaurant, which faced that exact problem.

A project built around delivering useful agricultural information to farmers through APIs, location data, and messaging. It helps them adapt to unpredictable weather patterns driven by climate change and mitigates the depreciation of agricultural output by helping farmers adapt to changing times.

I have a deep passion for science and aviation. I believe in a future where we'll have zero emissions flight and finally get back supersonic travel though boom and overture

I'm also extremely interested in solutions and innovations outside code. It helps me think outside the box and discover new approaches that help me develop better software solutions.
