addon support?

Hi! I need a specific type of restraint for an adventure map, but have no coding skills. Could there be the ability to add additional restraints via a JSON+texture file? This would make adding additional items doable without editing java code. Not quite sure as to what all of the components of the JSON for each item would be, but it would be much appreciated :)

ps. while you're here, it's extremely annoying that you can't take tape off your mouth even when your arms are free. is this a bug?

This is a great idea that I 100% want to implement.

Also you can take off the take by sneaking-punching while looking up if your arms are free (added in most recent update)
