A lightweight Jellyfin Server companion extension for the Litefin client. It exposes dedicated server-side APIs, state persistence, and management tools to store and sync your app settings securely.
- Multi-Snapshot Backups: Save as many preference snapshots as you want. Give them custom labels or let the client auto-identify them using device metadata.
- Shared Visibility, Secured Control: All backups on the server are visible to any user for cross-profile restoring. However, overwrite and delete actions are strictly restricted to the user who created the backup.
- Device & Platform Context: Captures device name, device ID, Litefin app version, and platform (Web, Tizen, webOS) for every snapshot.
- Admin Console: Administrators can manage all stored backups from the Jellyfin Dashboard (under Plugins > Litefin). Features newest-first sorting, custom backup records deletion, export/downloading, and merging/importing backup JSON files.
- Privacy Focused: Sensitive parameters (e.g., access tokens, server connection URLs, local session states) are stripped client-side before backup payloads are uploaded.
- Chronological Merged Rows: Exposes a consolidated
/Litefin/MergedRows/ContinueAndNextUpendpoint that fetches, deduplicates, and chronologically orders (Plex-style) Continue Watching and Next Up rows on the server-side, reducing client loading time. - Collections Lookup Helper: Exposes a fallback
/Litefin/Items/{itemId}/CollectionsAPI endpoint to let older Jellyfin servers (such as version 10.11) query which collections a movie or series belongs to. - Seerr Integration: Keeps the server-wide Seerr URL and API key in the administrator-managed plugin configuration and exposes a constrained authenticated API for discovery, search, series details, and requests. Requests are attributed to the Jellyfin user represented by the caller's access token.

- Click Add (
+), enter a name (e.g.Litefin Plugins), and paste the URL. - Go to the Catalog tab, find Litefin Plugin under General, and click Install.
- Restart your Jellyfin Server.
- Compile the plugin or download the
.ziparchive from the Releases page. - Extract the archive (specifically

Build the plugin DLL using the .NET CLI:

- Client: In the Litefin client, go to Settings > Backup & Restore to select, restore, overwrite, or delete backup snapshots.
- Admin: Go to Dashboard > Plugins > Litefin to configure Seerr, monitor stored configs, export copies, or prune database records.
Enter the full Seerr URL and its API key in Dashboard > Plugins > Litefin. Jellyfin users must be imported into Seerr so the plugin can match the authenticated Jellyfin user ID to the corresponding Seerr account. The API key is used only by the server-side plugin and is never included in responses to Litefin clients.
Stored backups are saved inside the Jellyfin configuration folder:
