Player count always 0 for ASA / games without A2S — add RCON or log-based fallback #220

Description

@jakub961241

Summary

Player count always shows 0 for games that do not implement the Steam A2S query protocol — most notably ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA), which uses Epic Online Services instead of A2S. The panel's player-status feature relies on A2S/gamedig and has no fallback, so ASA servers permanently display 0 players even when players are connected.

Details

  • PlayerStatusService resolves a gamedig type and queries the server via A2S. For ARK it resolves to arkse.
  • ASA does not respond to A2S on the game port (or any port) — verified: A2S_INFO to <ip>:7777 (and 27015/27020/…) times out, while players are actively connected (confirmed via RCON ListPlayers).
  • LogParser exists but only enriches player names when A2S already returns players; it does not provide an independent count, so when A2S returns 0 the count stays 0.

Impact

ASA is a very common game type for this panel, and its player count never works.

Suggested fix / feature request

Add an alternative player-count source for A2S-less games:

  • RCON-based counting (ASA supports RCON ListPlayers), or
  • Log-based counting driven purely by LogParser join/leave events (ASA logs <name> joined this ARK! / ... left this ARK!), independent of A2S.
