“Chromium Embedded Framework” is damaged and can’t be opened

Under macOS Sequoia 15.5 (Apple Silicon), Field2 build 43 will not run, resulting in the error ""Chromium Embedded Framework” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." Logs are attached.

I was able to work around this issue by stripping the quarantine from the zip archive before extracting, and using ditto instead of Finder to extract the archive.

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/field_alpha43_m1.zip
ditto -xk ~/Downloads/field_alpha43_m1.zip ~/Desktop/
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Desktop/field_alpha43_m1

Then, run field.sh as usual:

cd ~/Desktop/field_alpha43_m1
./field.sh
