Paradox SP6000 integrate with HA via IP180

I have installed a IP180 unit on my Paradox SP6000 system and it’s working fine with BlueEye. I cannot seem to find a PAI integration for the IP180?

Reaching out to paradox, they informed me this is not possible with the IP180 due to not being able to access via a static IP. Can only access via SWON token. Mmm...

Depending on the version of your firmware you might get into issues with the 180. The Paradox support will never give you relevant information so don't even bother..
just flash yourself an ESP8266/ESP32 and make sure to select the "BARE" ip connection in config! Way more stable and cheap than IP180! If you need help I just got my setup working

Thanks for this and good idea. However, the only problem is that using the SP6000 only has one serial port. So using the "modified" IP180 means that there will be no way to communicate with the armed response.

I have reverted back to OLARM for now, till the IP180 firmware upgrade is available.

OLARM works, but just the 8sec delay between trigger and seeing in HA that is the issue...

Oh I see. One other option would be to use an ESP32 which has 2 hardware serial ports, to act like a Man in the Middle, in between the sp6000 port and the armed response module. this is. A little more complex but not too hard, you just need to redirect the tx of SP6000 to both telnet serial and the second serial port. The tx of telnet can be redirected to sp6000 trivially if you don't need the IP module to talk back to the sp6000. If instead you need full communication in both directions it's a bit harder. The esp cannot just move packages bit banging style but it needs to work at a higher level: understanding received packages from telnet and IP module is necessary to know where a packet starts and ends. This can be used to correctly separate and route message from both the telnet and IP module back to the sp6000 Still for your use case going for the OLARM is the most overall effective solution probably :)
