About me

Hi there! I'm a plant ecologist and environmental data scientist based in Cusco, Perú 🇵🇪. I build reproducible R tools for biodiversity — taxonomy checks, spatial data, and open environmental datasets from Peru.

What am I up to?

  • 🌱 💻 I maintain a growing family of R packages for Peruvian biodiversity data, including avesperu (birds), perumammals (mammals), reptiledbr (reptiles), geoperu (spatial data), and ppendemic — developed with Lucely Vilca (UNSAAC) — which makes it easy to review Peru's endemic plant species from the national red book.
  • 📚 I also work on official/open-data connectors like rsdot (SDOT-PCM spatial layers), rsniffs (SNIFFS forestry & wildlife stats), and citesr (CITES species listings).
