Unable to find peers in Silence (no voices near microphone)

I tried out the demo app on https://cdn.getresonance.net/examples/web/index.html on my iphone i used safari and on my laptop i used chrome and my girlfriend was on a call next to me and it worked but i tried it again and asked her to remain silent and it did not work
