"Built during a hackathon to bring calm, clarity, and speed to daily developer workflows."
Developed by Teja Priyan
Hey there! 👋 I'm Teja Priyan.
Like many developers, I often found existing task management apps to be either bloated with unnecessary features or too clunky when all I needed was a quick, intuitive way to create tasks, track progress, manage project milestones, and clear my head.
I built TaskY during a hackathon to solve this exact problem. My goal was simple: create an ultra-fast, visually clean, and responsive task tracker that runs directly in any browser with zero setup friction.
- 📝 Fast Task Creation: Add tasks with priority levels, deadlines, and descriptions in seconds.
- 🎯 Visual Status Tracking: Group tasks into intuitive categories (To-Do, In Progress, Done) with quick state transitions.
- 🔔 Activity & Notifications: Keep track of pending deadlines and recent task actions.
- 🎨 Minimalist & Clean UI: Distraction-free design with smooth transitions and modern aesthetics.
- 📱 Fully Responsive: Optimized for desktop monitors, tablets, and mobile screens.
- ⚡ Zero-Dependency Core: Fast, lightweight vanilla HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript — loads instantly anywhere.
- Frontend: Semantic HTML5 & Modern Vanilla CSS3
- Logic & State: JavaScript (ES6+) DOM manipulation and event handlers
- Icons & Assets: Custom TP Favicon Branding & SVG graphics
- Hosting: GitHub Pages
Because TaskY has no heavy node modules or build steps, running it locally takes 5 seconds:
