NovaFrame

An upload-first image and video upscaler built for clarity, speed, and transparent pay-as-you-go use.

NovaFrame is currently in the concept and validation stage. This repository documents the product direction; the service described below is not yet publicly available.

What is NovaFrame?

NovaFrame is a lightweight commercial experiment around a focused question:

Can a simple online tool earn real usage, payments, and organic search traffic by helping people upscale images and videos with minimal friction?

The product is designed around a short path from intent to result: upload a file, process it, compare the improvement, and download the output. Users should not need to install professional software, understand AI models, tune complex parameters, or navigate through a marketing site before starting.

Product principles

  • The tool is the homepage. The first screen provides a clear promise, an image/video mode switch, and an upload area.
  • Results prove the value. Honest before-and-after examples set expectations without artificial urgency or hidden restrictions.
  • One simple workflow. Images and videos share the same mental model: upload, process, review, and download.
  • Free use demonstrates real value. A controlled free experience lets users evaluate quality before paying for longer videos, higher output specifications, or additional jobs.
  • Pricing stays transparent. Costs and limits are visible before processing or export.
  • Evidence drives expansion. New features follow observed search demand, completed tasks, repeat usage, and payments.

Who it is for

NovaFrame initially serves two broad groups:

  1. Occasional users restoring an old photo, improving a compressed image, enlarging a small asset, or enhancing a family video.
  2. Content producers working with AI-generated art, social media assets, product images, illustrations, or low-resolution video on a recurring basis.

Typical use cases include:

  • Restoring blurry, compressed, or undersized images
  • Enlarging AI-generated artwork and illustrations
  • Preparing product and social media assets for publishing or print
  • Enhancing old, compressed, or AI-generated video
  • Continuing with paid processing after validating the output quality

MVP scope

The first release is intended to deliver:

  • An upload-first web experience
  • Image and video upscaling
  • A complete upload-to-download workflow
  • Clear before-and-after comparison
  • Simple progress and result retrieval for longer video jobs
  • English-first and synchronized Chinese experiences
  • A controlled but meaningful free trial
  • Pay-as-you-go credits or one-time purchases
  • Measurement of uploads, successful jobs, result views, downloads, payments, and organic search performance

Out of scope

The initial release will not include:

  • A general-purpose AI image or video editor
  • Large collections of models and expert parameters
  • Timelines, project management, or complex batch workflows
  • Native mobile or desktop apps, browser extensions, or a public API
  • Team workspaces and enterprise collaboration
  • Self-hosted compute infrastructure
  • Forced registration for every first-time user
  • Growth based on mass-generated pages, community content, or intrusive ads

Business model

NovaFrame is planned as a usage-based service. The initial model favors one-time credit purchases over a complex subscription:

  • Images can provide a low-cost, complete first experience.
  • Video trials can use limited duration, preview quality, or output specifications to keep costs controlled.
  • Users pay for complete videos, higher output specifications, or additional processing.
  • Subscriptions are considered only after repeat usage and retention are demonstrated.
  • Advertising, if tested later, stays outside upload, processing, comparison, payment, and download flows.

Success criteria

The north-star metric is:

Effective tasks successfully processed and then viewed or downloaded by users.

The first validation phase will evaluate:

Dimension Core question
Real usage Do visitors upload files, complete jobs, and view or download results?
Real payment Does a useful free experience lead to purchases or repeat use?
Search growth Do English and Chinese pages attract relevant non-brand search traffic?
Unit economics Can revenue cover APIs, storage, bandwidth, payments, failures, and acquisition costs?

Product direction

  1. Validate processing quality, API costs, and practical file limits.
  2. Build the image workflow and measurement foundation.
  3. Add asynchronous video processing and reliable result retrieval.
  4. Introduce transparent free limits and pay-as-you-go payments.
  5. Launch English and Chinese search experiments.
  6. Use real usage and payment evidence to decide whether to expand, narrow, or stop.

NovaFrame 是一次面向真实市场的轻量商业实验,围绕一个明确问题展开:

一个足够简单的在线工具,能否通过帮助用户低摩擦地完成图片与视频超分,同时获得真实使用、付费和自然搜索流量?

产品聚焦从需求到结果的最短路径:上传素材、开始处理、对比效果、下载结果。用户无需安装专业软件、理解 AI 模型、研究复杂参数,也不必先穿过营销页面才能开始任务。

产品原则

  • 首屏就是工具。 首页直接提供清晰的结果承诺、图片/视频模式切换和上传区域。
  • 用结果证明价值。 通过真实的前后对比建立预期,不使用虚假稀缺、诱导倒计时或隐藏限制。
  • 保持同一条简单路径。 图片和视频都遵循“上传、处理、查看、下载”的心智模型。
  • 免费体验必须交付真实价值。 用户先在可控成本内确认效果,再为完整视频、更高规格或更多任务付费。
  • 价格与限制保持透明。 在处理或导出前明确说明成本、额度和输出限制。
  • 扩展必须由证据驱动。 新功能取决于真实搜索、有效任务、重复使用和付费数据。

NovaFrame 初期重点服务两类用户:

  1. 偶发型清晰化用户:修复老照片、改善压缩图片、放大小尺寸素材或增强家庭影像。
  2. 内容生产型用户:持续处理 AI 生成图、社交媒体素材、商品图片、插画或低清视频的创作者和从业者。

典型场景包括:

  • 为发布、展示或打印准备商品与社交媒体素材
  • 增强老视频、压缩视频或 AI 生成视频

  • 团队空间、企业协作和复杂批量工作流
  • 自建算力基础设施
  • 强制所有首次用户注册
  • 依赖大规模程序化页面、社区内容或侵入式广告增长

商业模式

NovaFrame 计划采用按使用量收费,初期优先使用一次性点数,而非复杂订阅:

  • 图片承担低成本、完整的首次价值体验。
  • 视频通过受限时长、预览质量或输出规格控制试用成本。
  • 用户为完整视频、更高输出规格或更多处理任务付费。
  • 只有重复使用和留存得到验证后,才考虑订阅方案。
  • 如果后续测试广告,广告不会进入上传、处理、效果对比、付费和下载等核心路径。

成功标准

北极星指标是:

成功完成处理,并被用户查看或下载的有效任务数。

第一阶段从四个维度判断项目是否值得继续:

产品路线

  1. 验证处理质量、API 成本和可行的文件限制。

  3. 增加异步视频处理和可靠的结果取回。
  4. 接入透明的免费额度和按量付费。
  5. 启动英文与中文搜索实验。
  6. 根据真实使用与付费证据决定扩展、聚焦或停止。

Current status

NovaFrame is in the concept and validation stage. Technical architecture, processing providers, pricing, numeric targets, and release dates will be documented after cost and feasibility testing.
