Install

gemini extensions install https://github.com/TruVerifAI/gemini-extension

Then connect your account (recommended — verifies the gates end-to-end):

npx @truverifai/init

Or manually: export TVAI_API_KEY=tvai_... (create a key at https://truverif.ai/settings/api-keys). The gates also read ~/.truverifai/config.json, written by tvai login.

Notes

• Gate denials surface as tool errors carrying the routing message — the agent is told exactly which review to run and how to release the gate.
• Matchers are regex (write_file|replace|edit_file); the gates fail OPEN on anything unrecognized and never block on their own errors.
• If ${extensionPath} resolution differs on your Gemini build, run npx @truverifai/init — it writes project-level .gemini/settings.json hooks with absolute paths (the always-works path), verified by tvai doctor.

Privacy

Only a repo fingerprint + per-hunk content hashes leave your machine — never source, paths, or diffs.
