My PhD said Behavioral Ecology on the cover, but it mostly consisted of an ungodly amount of R scripts and datasets that needed rechecking five out of four times.
Certified Carpentries instructor, currently training to teach the trainers, which is exactly as recursive as it sounds. I run workshops and mentor early-career researchers, mostly around open science (SORTEE), R, statistics, personal knowledge management. I spent Eight+ years in academia before that, half of it at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior, where I worked on shrews through the PhD and a postdoc. These days I work in scientific communication for medical technology.
I am also skeptical of productivity gurus, which is an uncomfortable position for someone who writes publicly about her own note-taking system. I write about it anyway.
I draw. Scientific illustrations, shrew stickers, watercolors doodles, vector art; and sometimes sketchnoting as a way to combine art and note-taking. Although my handwriting has got measurably worse since I started typing faster than I write (alas, I am also prone to typs).
