Community energy grid planning and simulation platform.
Note
We are working on making EnerPlanET open-source. Follow this organisation to get updates.
Access the EnerPlanET website for more information.
EnerPlanET lets planners and engineers design, simulate, and optimise local low-voltage distribution networks, from drawing a polygon on a map to a full energy optimisation result.
It covers:
- Synthetic grid generation using PYLOVO
- Multi-technology energy modelling based on NREL-PySAM
- Energy optimisation via Calliope and PyPSA
- Interactive 2D/3D geospatial visualisation
- Scenario management for comparing different grid designs and energy mixes
- Integration with real-world data (e.g. weather, load profiles)
- Result dashboard for analysing energy flows, costs, and emissions
