Summary

Releases 1.2.1. Its one user-visible change is #29: Top regressions in the HTML report now show that rows can be expanded.

It's a patch release because it only changes how the report looks. Config, CLI flags and artefact shapes are unchanged.

The commit touches the same four files as the 1.2.0 release: pyproject.toml, the version lines in DOCS.md and llms-full.txt, and CHANGELOG.md. The CHANGELOG now has ## [1.2.1] - 2026-10-01 with an empty [Unreleased] above it.

Stacked on #29: merge that first. Until #29 merges, this PR's diff also shows the feature commit.

After merge

git checkout main && git pull
git tag -a v1.2.1 -m "v1.2.1 — top regressions in the report read as expandable"
git push origin v1.2.1

Pushing the tag triggers release.yml, which publishes to PyPI and dispatches the action pin bump.

Testing

  • evalshift --version prints 1.2.1 after reinstalling.
  • pre-commit run --all-files passes.
  • pytest: 2447 pass, 1 fails. The failure is the sibling-checkout schema-drift test, which also fails on main and is skipped in CI.

The only cue that a regression row expands was an 11.5px dim caret, so
the rows read as static. Each section's worst regression now starts
open, every row carries a boxed caret and a "Show details" / "Hide
details" hint (text dropped at phone width), and the header reacts on
hover and shows a focus ring. Print expands every regression where the
engine supports ::details-content. CSS only; the report still ships no
JavaScript.
