I build and evaluate LLM and agent systems for biomedical research. PhD from Pablo de Olavide University, Seville; working in computational biology since 2017. Based in Hamburg.
- LLM_SR_medicine — the screening pipeline behind my first-author PNAS 2025 paper measuring LLM literature screening against human ground truth. doi:10.1073/pnas.2411962122
- academatepy — AcadeMate, a systematic-review agent built around PRISMA methodology. Developed at CoSy.Bio, University of Hamburg.
- DRACOONpy — a differential co-expression algorithm;
pip install dracoonpy. First author, BMC Bioinformatics 26:137 (2025). doi:10.1186/s12859-025-06162-9 - drugrepochatter — ChatDRex, an agentic drug-repurposing system built for the EU REPO4EU consortium.
A logged-out GitHub profile does not render pull requests merged into other organisations, so this work is invisible here by default.
- langchain-ai/langchain-google #1263, merged October 2025 — streaming metadata was leaking into
ToolMessagepayloads on the Vertex/Anthropic path and breaking tool loops. The fix shipped with a regression test. - ozolotareva/unpast — 43 commits, third-largest contributor.
- Daiego43/pyEnGNet — 11 commits.
- dracoonpy on PyPI.
Roughly 94% of the ~2,200 commits I have authored are in private repositories: a company codebase, and clinical-data projects covered by data-use agreements. What is public here is the academic tooling I am free to publish.
I co-founded Galagos GmbH, a University of Hamburg spin-out building an agentic AI system for bioinformatics, and led it as CTO. The company is being wound down — runway and market timing did not line up. I would rather go deep as a builder than run a company.
