An opinionated, community-driven ecosystem for complete TypeScript development.
Built around a simple idea:
Provide a modern and reliable foundation for building TypeScript software — from tooling to AI-assisted workflows.
What started as a set of TypeScript tooling and configs has grown into a broader ecosystem: development environments, tooling, configurations, AI-assisted development capabilities, and best practices, all designed to work together toward one goal — a complete TypeScript development experience.
Some pieces of this ecosystem (like AI skills or specs) may end up being generic enough to be useful outside of TypeScript too — but that's a side effect, not the goal. The goal is TypeScript.
- Modern defaults
- Simple configuration
- Fast developer experience
- Flexible and customizable foundations
- AI-assisted development as a first-class citizen, not an afterthought
Designed to provide a complete and opinionated development experience, with carefully selected tools, workflows, and configurations that can be adapted when needed.
@opinionated-ts/config— Reusable TypeScript development configurations and tooling.@opinionated-ts/template— TypeScript project template built on top of@opinionated-ts/config.
brain— The AI brain behind the ecosystem: orchestrates skills, agents, and MCP integrations to power the AI-assisted side of Opinionated TS.ai-context-tree- Give humans and AI coding agents a map of your repository — turnindex.instructions.mdfiles into a navigable context map.
Projects are developed independently and may be at different stages of development.
Warning
brain is at a very early, preliminary stage — it's the missing piece needed to power the AI workflow across the ecosystem. Until it matures, @opinionated-ts/config and @opinionated-ts/template remain stable and ready to use, but do not yet integrate these AI-assisted features.
Every project in this organization is open source — built in the open, shaped by real use, and free for anyone to explore, fork, or build on.
Contributions are more than welcome — they're the whole point.
