Describe your changes

Adds a gradual Together-inspired web UI rollout:

  • public Settings → Appearance → New interface experimental switch;
  • cookie persistence and silent-write validation for guests and authenticated users;
  • independent classic | cinematic UI preference with classic as default;
  • existing movie detail renderer preserved;
  • new responsive cinematic movie detail renderer using shared data, SEO, actions, collection, tabs, and image fallbacks;
  • WCAG-compliant cinematic primary contrast and accessible TMDB rating control;
  • localized control copy across all seven supported languages;
  • regression coverage for preference parsing, state synchronization, localization, responsive layout, accessibility, shared movie controls, fallbacks, and renderer selection.

Enable the experiment from the desktop account menu or mobile navigation drawer, then open any movie detail page.

Verification

  • 30 focused tests pass
  • Web TypeScript check passes
  • Changed-file Biome checks pass
  • GitHub/Vercel CI passes
  • Independent final code review: ready to merge
  • Published browser walkthrough is blocked by Vercel Deployment Protection; authenticated reviewers can use the Vercel preview link
