Trevor Grant

I lead Aboriginal Armadillo, a senior technical delivery firm for difficult projects where architecture, execution, and coordination have come apart.

My work spans software and distributed systems, production machine learning, AI agent tooling, developer infrastructure, open-source leadership, and technical authorship. I am an Apache Software Foundation member, serve on the Apache Mahout PMC, and co-authored Kubeflow for Machine Learning: From Lab to Production.

Current work

  • Aboriginal Armadillo — defined technical project ownership, from ground truth through delivery.
  • Mapache — browser-managed cloud terminal sessions for agentic and remote-development workflows.
  • Gofannon and AgentLabUI — tools and interfaces for making agent-backed workflows usable.
  • Apache Mahout / QuMat — long-running work on scalable machine learning and abstractions across quantum-computing backends.

Selected record

The artifact archive preserves working evidence from production ML, computer vision, open source, AI systems, and experimental builds. I also publish Field Notes on architecture, delivery, production systems, and technical practice.
