Partially fixed. Entities can now move but each entity "piece" e.g icon border vs icon center and each reaction line segment must be moved separately — see R-HSA-1632852
So the export is no longer one flat picture, which was the original complaint, but a single entity is several shapes rather than a group. Moving a node means selecting its border and its centre; moving a connector means selecting every segment.
The fix is grouping rather than more shapes: each entity's parts in one group, each connector's segments in one. A curator rearranging a figure expects to drag a node, not reassemble it.
