GitHub notifications that actually need you.
GitHub tells you about everything that happens. A comment on a pull request you once touched, a bot resolving its own review, a release in a repository you starred — all of it arrives looking exactly as important as the review someone is actually waiting on you for.
Inkling watches the same feed, throws away the parts that don't involve you, and puts the rest in an inbox you can actually clear.
A hard filter, not a louder inbox. Every notification is checked against what really happened on the thread — who commented, whether it was a reply to you, whether your review is still outstanding. Most of it never interrupts you, and the ones that don't make it are kept with the reason, so you can see the call and disagree with it.
Act without opening a browser. Snooze for an hour, mute the thread, or mark it done straight from the notification. The same actions are in the app.
Decide who gets to interrupt you. Ignore a bot for good, snooze one account for an hour, or mute a single thread. Each is a separate scope, so silencing one doesn't silence the rest.
An inbox only you can clear. One notification is one item. Reading something isn't the same as dealing with it, so nothing leaves the list until you mark it done — and marking one done never disturbs another.
Views you save yourself. Any combination — unread review requests, bot threads, one repository — saved as a named view with a live count. Lists can be grouped by repository, author or pull request, two levels deep.
Quiet when you need it. Mute everything for an hour, until tomorrow, or until you say otherwise. Checking carries on and the inbox keeps filling, so nothing is missed — you simply aren't interrupted.
Build a view from any combination — nothing picked in a group means it doesn't narrow anything.
Every kind can be switched off, and the level is yours — only High can play a sound or break through a mute.

.dmgfrom releases and drag Inkling to your Applications folder. -
The first time you open it, macOS will say the developer can't be verified. Inkling is signed, but not yet notarized by Apple. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway — or run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Inkling.app -
Setup walks you through connecting GitHub, allowing notifications, and choosing what's worth interrupting you for. Nothing is checked until that's done.
One tip worth taking: in step 2, choose Alerts rather than Banners. Banners disappear after a few seconds, which isn't long enough to reach the Snooze, Mute and Done buttons — they'll look broken otherwise.
Everything stays on your Mac. There's no server, no account and no analytics.
Your notifications, settings and history are plain files in
~/Library/Application Support/Inkling/, listed with their sizes at the bottom
of Settings, with buttons to clear any of them. Your GitHub token is kept in the
login Keychain and is never written to disk in the clear.
Automatic updates aren't in yet, so for now new versions come from the releases page.
