Hey @0xusmanf, thanks for the contribution!
As you might have seen, I updated your role in the attribution list. To be credited as a writer of a page we look for a substantial amount of added content, so that is the only reason for the change. It doesn't take anything away from what you added: the dry-run backup and passphrase verification check is a good catch. On our side reviewers and fact-checkers are as valuable as writers, there is just a distinction to make between the two.
If you want to land on the writer side, take a section or a topic and build it out, we'll be happy to review it and get it in.

While many hardware wallets provide recovery test tools (e.g., Ledger's Recovery Check or Trezor's Backup Check), dry-run verification and passphrase validation are rarely enforced by default. Adding this guidance ensures users verify seed accuracy and passphrase derivation prior to transferring assets or enrolling the wallet into a protocol multisig.
