Summary

  • A Windows E2E shard hung for 20+ minutes in pnpm install (a stalled download; the sibling shards installed in ~23s), blocking feat(editor): show contour direction and first point in the object tree #485 in the merge queue. With no timeout-minutes anywhere in ci.yml, it would have waited for GitHub's 6-hour default.
  • Add timeout-minutes: 10 to every Install dependencies step, so a stalled install fails fast and can be retried.
  • Add job-level limits as a backstop: 60 minutes for rust-check, e2e-build, and integration (cold native builds), 30 for everything else. Recent successful runs finish every job in under 7 minutes.

Issue

No issue — CI hardening after a hung merge-queue run (run 36990775209).

Testing

  • Workflow YAML parses; the pre-commit check yaml hook passed.
  • Not run beyond this PR's own CI: the change only adds limits.
