This closes the two `v0.51.0` exceptions, #770 and #1829/#1878. See the
dated entries below, including the `v0.52.0` release record.

- #291, the four port defects found by the retroactive review of the
`v1.6.1` port PRs, with extraction version 18;
- #292, the Rust 1.98.0 toolchain and MSRV.

## Sync log

### 2026-10-01 — `v0.52.1` RELEASED: #291 and #292 shipped

Release-please PR [#293](https://github.com/sunerpy/codegraph-rust/pull/293)
merged as `9ca7f9716de38828562295cdc79a3b5a99b52738` and cut tag `v0.52.1` at
that exact commit.

P2 Badge Record the implementation-to-release provenance

When this append-only ledger is later used to audit v0.52.1, the entry begins with release PR #293 and never records the immutable PR-head and merge SHAs for implementation PRs #291 and #292. Consequently, it does not preserve the required implementation-head → merge → tag chain even though it claims those changes shipped; add the exact implementation provenance before the tag/workflow evidence.

Release workflow run
[`36879201833`](https://github.com/sunerpy/codegraph-rust/actions/runs/36879201833)
passed all twelve jobs on its second attempt.

- **First attempt:** the exact-SHA CI gate failed. On main CI run
[`36879201821`](https://github.com/sunerpy/codegraph-rust/actions/runs/36879201821),
Windows Clippy could not start sccache, because the Actions cache backend
answered 503 (`Egress is over the account`). The release stayed a draft.
- **Second attempt:** re-running that job passed, and the re-run gate then
admitted the release. The six platform builds are from the first attempt.

The release was published at 2026-10-01T15:12:32Z. The official
`codegraph-0.52.1-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.gz` digest is
`73bd59d46588467507152e2783cb06fd001187bc73f5a095b85708991326863d`.

Black-box acceptance of the downloaded release, against the official
`v0.52.0`:

- `SHA256SUMS` and `gh attestation verify` passed for all six archives. The
binary reports `codegraph 0.52.1`, and its `.comment` section names rustc
1.98.0, where `v0.52.0` names 1.96.0.
- **Vue:** two same-name functions on one line of a script block index as two
rows; `v0.52.0` kept one.
- **Store initializer:** `useStore = create(persist(..., { storage:
createJSONStorage(...) }))` calls `create`, `createJSONStorage` and
`persist`; `v0.52.0` recorded no call.
- **Default binding:** in a React `.js` module, `consume` calls `upload`
through `export default Api`; `v0.52.0` made it call the component
`Screen`.
- **Trim note:** a windowed explore says gap markers name elided symbols "only
where room allowed".
- **Upgrade:** an index written by `v0.52.0` reads as `outdated`, because the
extraction version moved from 17 to 18. `sync` re-extracts it, and it then
reads `current`.
