Victor Olave — Senior fullstack engineer and AI product engineering. Software is just opinions, encoded. I try to encode good ones.

01 — ABOUT

I design and build the systems behind useful products.

Nine years shipping end-to-end — React and TypeScript on the front, Node and NestJS on the back — and now leaning hard into AI-powered product engineering: LLMs, agents with MCP, RAG, prompt engineering as a product discipline.

I question requirements before writing code, and I ship small, opinionated things.


02 — CURRENTLY BUILDING

Four things I'm shipping in the open.

PactJoy — a social habits app where everyone pursues different goals and competes on a fair, shared score. Plinto — self-hosted household finance: accounts, recurring rules, debts and credit cards. Acopio Colombia — nearest relief drop-off points after the 10 August 2026 earthquake. Dádiva — Secret Santa with Bible-verse promise cards and a server-side draw hidden by RLS.


Stack. AI engineering (current focus): LLM integration with Claude and OpenAI, agentic systems and MCP, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, responsible AI. Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Angular, Astro, Tailwind CSS. Animation and 3D: Motion One, GSAP, Three.js, WebGL, Lenis, Canvas. Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Express, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets. Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Prisma, Drizzle. DevOps and tools: Docker, GitHub Actions, Vercel, Railway, AWS, Git. System and security: OAuth and JWT, hexagonal architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability. Design: Figma, design systems, atomic design, accessibility.
