This repository supports WIS2 Operations and GISC Watch Guide as part of the work of the ET-WISOP team
The ET-WISOP team meets on a bi-weekly meeting and will address tasks managed through the ET-WISOP workplan project
(1) Provide coordination and collaboration mechanisms for supporting the implementation and operation of WIS2 Nodes, Global Services and Gateways,
(2) Foster collaboration among GISCs and Global Services,
(3) Review GISCs management of their Area of Responsibilities (AoR), including WIS2 Node implementation, registration, assessment, performance monitoring and transition to WIS2,
(4) Review Global Services and Gateways performance,
(5) Further develop WIS2 operation procedures to improve the efficient operation and usability of WIS2,
(6) Oversee the migration status and contribute to the transition from WIS 1.0 and GTS to WIS 2.0,
(7) Propose updates to Manual on WIS (WMO-No.1060) Volume II – WMO Information System 2.0, Guide to WIS (WMO-No.1061) Volume II – WMO Information System 2.0, to meet Members' needs for implementation and operation,
(8) Facilitate training on WIS2 implementation, operation, and transition provided by GISCs and Regional Training Centres.
(9) Liaise with ET-W2IT and ET-W2DP to work consistently and coherently toward successfully implementing WIS 2.0.
