Allods Online — Windows, Astrum Nival / Mail.Ru (MY.GAMES), build 13.505, eng_eu, downloaded 2026-09-01

A byte-level study of 1,186 files and 17,366,372,506 bytes that never touched physical media: a live client of a live service, downloaded over BitTorrent in 387 seconds, described as it stood at 10:30:48 UTC on 1 September 2026.

It is the first object in twenty-five sessions that could be verified rather than believed. It carries 9,148 SHA-1 piece digests in two torrent files and 871 MD5s in a signed internal manifest, and every one of them was recomputed here: 9,148 of 9,148 pieces, 871 of 871 lengths, 871 of 871 hashes. The three totals that describe it — 18,173,919,232 declared, 17,366,372,506 on disk, 17,031,242,813 downloaded — close into one identity with a difference of zero.

It is also the first object in this collection that changed while it was being described. The session briefing measured 17,366,370,830 bytes; the census run here measured 1,676 more, nineteen minutes later, and sixteen files could not be hashed at all because another process held them open. Both facts are the same fact: this is not a pressing, it is a directory in use.

Nothing of the object is in this repository. It lives on a read-only volume this repository does not own and nothing was written to it: every tool opens files read-only, and the only outputs are docs/, notes/ and tools/. .gitignore excludes the working copy by directory name, and it was written and verified in both directions before git init.

And this object contains a person. Four of its thirteen layers — 210 files, 19,657,422 bytes — were written by the machine it is installed on: a complete Chromium profile with a cookie database and an IndexedDB store for a video site, a torrent session, and a log that carries the operator's SteamID64 five times. Those bytes are counted and not read. The identifier appears nowhere in this repository, whole, truncated or masked, and no tool here opens MGLauncher/Cache/. The 2,002 build-machine paths that are transcribed are the opposite population: a byte that exists because somebody compiled this is the object; a byte that exists because somebody installed it is not.

The rule this document was written under, and the way it could have failed: 350,470 files with descriptive English names, and a taxonomy written from the names. The check is that every class in 06 carries the number of files actually inflated to support it — 4,029 of 350,470 — and that the one place a name was trusted, a map coordinate, produced an answer that was 35 times too small until the lattice step was measured instead of assumed.

The short card

title Allods Online, the eng_eu client. 13_505/Profiles/localizations.cfg says localization = "eng_eu"; game.version says 16.0.01.78.2; Distribs.xml says build 13.505
platform Windows, shipped twice — 72 i386 images and 36 x86-64. The engine imports d3d9.dll: a 2026 build of a 2009 engine still targeting the 2002 graphics API
the object 1,186 files, 17,366,372,506 bytes, 281 distinct mtimes on four days, 35 extensions — and 16 files a running process would not let go of
the delivery Steam hands over a downloader. App 459160 installs a 13 MB loader that starts the publisher's launcher, which embeds Chromium 99 and a BitTorrent client and fetches 16.5 GB from p2p.gc.my.games. The game is not on Steam. 14
the descriptors eleventh answer to this collection's oldest question, and the first that can be recomputed: 8,666 + 482 SHA-1 pieces, 871 MD5s, 355,159 ZIP central-directory entries, a .loc footer, 1,241 .bsb length words, and 1,250 of 4,029 sampled .bin. Seven mechanisms, five of them checked here. 03
the verification 8,666 of 8,666 pieces in 37.8 seconds. 482 of 482. 0 failed. 0 missing, 0 short. 98.3639 % of the object covered by a verified digest
the arithmetic 18,173,919,232 − 1,154,600,016 padding + 347,053,290 not-in-the-torrent = 17,366,372,506. Difference 0
the container 693 ZIP archives that compress nothing — 355,157 stored entries against 2 deflated — and an ownership map that closes: 0 bytes owned by nobody, 0 owned by two, over 16,496,013,793. Sixth exact closure in a row. Structure costs 0.469576 % 04
the redundancy .Mini. and .HiRes. share zero entry names as spelt and 71,587 once one infix is removed, with the high-resolution copy 11.87× larger. _x86 and _x64 share 3,444 of 3,444 — the only repeated paths in the whole object 05
the world 79.6454 % of the archives is .bin: 350,470 zlib streams, of which 4,029 were opened, 1.1496 %, and the count is printed on the line of every class. 306 zones on a lattice whose step was measured: 239 of 306 are 100 % full 06
the unit 2,877,631 words over 181,513 distinct strings in a 264,463-record table whose shape was derived from the bytes and pinned by a footer declaring its own blob length — 264,463 of 264,463 records land on a NUL terminator 07
the Russian 85 strings of 181,513. Forty-eight are Cyrillic letters drawn like Latin ones — Сolonel, Т92 Arty, 3х3 — a Russian keyboard slipping mid-word, invisible on screen. Thirty-seven are real: server histories, a transliteration table, and one missed dialogue box. And 612 strings differ between the 32- and 64-bit builds because a pointer was written into the text as hexadecimal 07
the manual the game ships its modding API in source and a 3,031-page reference beside it — 3,031 of 3,031 pages in Russian, 180,365 Russian words, inside an English client 08
the sound 1,276 FMOD banks, all 1,276 closing their declared sizes exactly, 31,642 samples, 37 h 14 m 51 s — 29 h 05 m 35 s once the voice shipped twice is counted once. Not one audio frame decoded. Voice 28.03 %, creatures 26.30 %, footsteps 0.34 % 09
the film 44 Ogg Theora files, 24 m 41 s at 9,661 kbit/s, measured from page headers and granule positions with zero frames decoded — and the shortcut validated against a full page walk first 10
the thesis recorded reality 17.4595 %, after an 88.11 %. The column was not redefined to rescue the number — under the proposed redefinition a 1986 Infocom story file scores 99 % too. A second column was added instead: calculated world, 75.4373 % 10
the vendors 108 PE images, pe.py refuses none for the first time since Tesla Effect. 18 company names and 54 images declaring none. Four generations in four fields — Nival Interactive, Nival Online, ASTRUM LAB, MY.GAMES. The anticheat is 2.39× the size of the game and a browser is bigger than either 11
the layers 13 layers, difference 0, no unknown row — and one of them, 19,657,422 bytes, is the operator's, a layer no published client has 12
the paths 2,002 drive-lettered, 0 source-tree, in 60 files from 21 build roots — six times the briefing's floor. The publisher's own machines are in there: D:\DKolosov\Professional\mail.ru\trunk\… inside a DLL that declares Firelight Technologies, and E:\BuildAgent\…\BranchBuilds_RC6\…\AOgame.pdb in the game itself 12
the clocks five distinct timestamps over 355,159 archive entries, 99.06 % of them 2009-10-02 00:00:20 — a constant. pack.loc is stamped 2009 and names servers that opened in 2023. The build is visible in two entries: 2026-08-13 17:48, and the engine was linked four hours earlier the same afternoon 13
Q9 answered in the negative for the first time: 138 even seconds against 143 odd, all 60 values present. The even seconds of the previous objects were a property of the filesystem, not of the files 13
leftovers candidates 13,129,211,088 bytes; after the arguments, 87,193,778 = 0.5021 %, and every one of those is somebody else's dependency shipped whole. 60.8 % of the object is duplicate by design and is argued out 15
not opened 13,043,642,343 bytes = 75.1086 % never decompressed at all; 94.1924 % never decoded. Said in a headline, with what would be needed to go further named exactly 15
the predictions seventy clauses written before a piece was hashed, scored at 72.9 % — method 89.3 %, content 68.8 % — and the most useful clause in the file is a miss 19

The chapters

00 the predictions: bets placed before a piece was hashed
01 the object: 1,186 files, and not one of them arrived on a disc
02 the spec sheet: every number with the command that makes it again
03 the descriptors: nine thousand one hundred and forty-eight pieces, and all of them fit
04 the containers: six hundred and ninety-three ZIP files that compress nothing
05 the redundancy: two resolutions, two pointer widths, and one shared name in three hundred and fifty thousand
06 the world: three hundred and fifty thousand streams, and four thousand of them opened
07 the text: two million eight hundred thousand words, and eighty-five of them are Russian
08 the scripts: an API shipped in source, and three thousand files of it compiled
09 the sound: thirty-seven hours, eight of which are said twice
10 the video and the thesis column: twenty-five minutes of film, and a definition under pressure
11 the binaries and the vendors: nineteen companies in one installation
12 the layers and the absolute paths: a layer the published client does not have
13 the clocks: three hundred and fifty-one thousand entries dated 2009, and two dated 2026
14 the three deliveries: Steam hands over a downloader
15 the leftovers: ten and a half gigabytes that are not leftovers, and eighty-seven megabytes that are
16 the tools: eighteen scripts, eight inherited, ten written, none borrowed
17 open questions: what carried over, what closed, and what this object leaves
18 corrections: what the briefing got wrong, and what this document did
19 prediction scoring: seventy clauses, and the one about the definitions lost

Two commands are deliberately absent and their absence is the point: paths.py and strs.py were never pointed at MGLauncher/Cache/, and nothing in this repository opens it.
