This guide assumes CTG Engage has already been installed on a configured ExpoPi appliance.
- Connect power to the ExpoPi.
- Allow the Raspberry Pi to boot normally.
- The configured account logs in automatically.
- Chromium launches in kiosk mode.
- CTG Engage opens automatically.
No keyboard or mouse should be required during normal visitor operation.
Visitor Use
Visitors interact with CTG Engage directly through the touchscreen.
The kiosk is designed to function offline for its primary visitor experience. Features that lead to external websites use QR codes so the visitor can continue on their own mobile device.
Contact information entered into the kiosk is stored locally and remains available after the application or appliance is restarted.
Administrative controls provide access to functions including:
- View stored contact count
- Export contacts to USB
- Clear stored contacts
- Reboot the appliance
- Shut down the appliance
These controls should be used by booth staff rather than visitors.
Before packing the kiosk:
- Insert the designated USB storage device.
- Export contact records to CSV.
- Verify the export exists on the USB device.
- Clear kiosk contact data if appropriate for the deployment.
- Use the built-in Shutdown control.
- Wait for the Raspberry Pi to shut down before removing power.
